2009년 2월, 한 블로거는 5살짜리 딸 아이가 가수 손담비의 노래 ‘미쳤어’를 부르며 율동을 하는 모습을 동영상으로 담아 자신의 블로그에 올렸다. 배경음악이나 반주도 없이 혼자서 노래를 부르며 율동을 한 53초짜리 동영상이었다. 몇 달 후, 음악저작권협회는 해당 블로그를 서비스하고 있던 포털에 저작권 위반으로 게시 중단 요청을 했으며, 이에 따라 해당 동영상은 차단당했다.
많은 네티즌들의 공분을 산 이 사건은 현행 저작권법의 문제를 단적으로 보여준다.
